Commercial Workouts

Watching the NBA Finals and opted to do some commercial workouts.  Unfortunately, the commercials breaks are too long, so I had to “cry uncle”.  LOL.

1st Commercial Break

25# KB 1-handed swing x 10/side x 5 (100 swings)

2nd Commercial Break

25# KB Shoulder Press
10/side x 1, 5/side x 3 (50 presses)

3rd Commercial Break

25# KB Combination (Clean, Press, Windmill) x 1/side x 6 (12 each)

The commercials were too long and it was getting too late to be able to sleep if I kept it up, so I “cried uncle” and quit while I was ahead. :)

KB Complex: Clean, Front Squat, Press

Jogged up to 5th floor hotel room right after dinner.  I’ll wait longer next time. lol

Workout:
Kettlebell Complex (Clean, Front Squat, Shoulder Press);
35# x 5 reps, alternating arms after each complex rep.
50# x 5 reps per arm before switching arms.

Never done a KB complex as a workout before.  Two sets seemed like a good place to stop.  50# got pretty tough on the Shoulder Presses.

Kettlebell Chipper

Like a wood chipper, just chucking in one KB movement after another.

Warmup:
KB 1-handed swing 25# x 5/side;
KB Clean 25# x 5/side;

Workout:
KB Clean 35# x 10/side;
KB Swings 25#, alternating hands x 20;
KB Figure 8′s between legs, 25# for 60 seconds;
KB Swings 35#, 2-handed for 60 seconds;
KB Push Press 35# x 10/side

Got to get more consistent with the KB Cleans and “taming the arc”.  Some are good and others are beating the crap out of my forearm.

Lite Skills Practice: KB Turkish Getups, KB Cleans

Kettlebell Turkish Getup: 15#, 25#

Kettlebell Clean: 35#; Still not “Taming the Arc” consistently, so the bell is crashing on the back off my forearm.

Yoga: Cobra to Downward Dog combination.
