Hi there, I’m a Crossfitter out here in California and i’m getting ready to take the plunge and buy a ghd machine. Can you please tell me how you like your new Sorinex? Good points, bad points, etc… Does the fact that you can’t adjust the foot pads up and down cause any problems? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

It’s a very stable GHD compared to the York (the only other model I’ve used). No problems at all with up/down adjustment. The foot alignment is consistent with your hip height on the front pad. The forward/backward foot adjustment is fast and solid… no wobble what so ever (unlike the York I used). Just did Tabata situps and back ext on the machine the other day and even “at speed” NOTHING moves. Negatives…. I was told I have a “first run” unit, and on assembly there was some powder coat chipping off the corners of plates under pressure when I bolted things together (excess powder coating). I was offered a new unit replacement, but I was curious if it was a systemic powder coat problem, or just where two plates were bolted together. After a month of use with two of us, NO additional powder coat chips have come off. Also, the instructions were a bit vague for a first time assembler, but I forwarded some suggestions to them. Hope that helps.
